ISDN30 I421 PRODUCT RETIREMENT NOTICE

ISDN30 I421 is being completely retired in 2007. In most areas this is expected to take place on July 31st 2007, but in some parts of the country this may be at an earlier date.

Customers affected by an earlier retirement date will be notified in advance. On retirement, telephony service and features of ISDN30 I421 will no longer be available to existing Customers. Rental and any other related charges will no longer be applied. (This note will be updated with any change to the retirement date should this arise)

From August 18th 2006, Customers terminating their ISDN30 I421 Contracts within the Minimum Period will not be liable to pay early termination charges. This applies to 1 year as well as to 3 and 5 year long term Contracts.

See Subpart titled `Conversion to ISDN30e from Dass2 or I421' later in this Part for charges that apply to Customers converting from ISDN30 I421 to ISDN30e.

The charges shown in this Part relate to ISDN 30 provision. There may be additional charges made depending on exact circumstances or special customer requirements - e.g. where added security is required, diverse routeing, alternate routeing

This service is not available on PSTN split line voice service.

All ISDN 30 charges apply to DASS 2, I 421 (ISDN30 I421 has been withdrawn from new supply with effect from 10 April 2006) and ISDN 30e except where specified. (l)

Additional charges may apply if extensive new construction is required.

Charges for infrastructure over and above standard requirements are given in Section 45 Part 1 These charges include work on internal trunking & traywork; breaking through walls; additional poles, ducts and cables; radio charges and miscellaneous non-standard or specially requested items.

Normal internal wiring charges will be raised if the customer requires BT to connect the Network terminating Point to customer premises equipment.

Applicable to all channels provided after 1 November 1996.

New ISDN 30 services will be provided by BT as necessary, the ISDN 30 service has a minimum threshold of 8 channels per Customer (or 6 if service was installed prior to March 97) per single site location.

It is not permissible for any ISDN 30 installation to reduce the number of channels below the minimum threshold of 8 (or 6 if service was installed prior to March 97).

It is not permissible to have more than one Customer sharing an ISDN 30 service.

BT will only bill the individual Customer taking up the ISDN 30 service.
