Subpart 1:Television Outside Broadcast (TVOB)

Pricing Information

All tariffs apply to services provided between 07:00 and 24:00, Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Outside these times prices will attract a 20% surcharge.

Discounts are available for Customers committing to use TVOB services for a minimum number of days per year (see TVOB Discount Structure). A TVOB Volume Package provides an alternative charging structure for high volume users who also require multiple Vision arrangements. We also offer a Leased Vision and associated Sound Service for longer durations.

Digital Service

MPEG 4:2:2 at 24Mbit/s, 5 Hours

This service is only available for multiple Vision requirements when 3 or more simultaneous Vision Circuits are needed.

TVOB Discount Structure

The TVOB discount structure is available to all Customers who make a commitment to BT to use a minimum volume of TVOB Event Days as detailed in the commitment levels in Table 2. The Customer will be committing to meeting the minimum level of discount over a twelve month period.

Where Customers exceed their minimum commitment into the next band, the next level of discount will be available for all further TVOB requirements in the remainder of the twelve month period.

If Customers are unable to meet the minimum commitment, BT will charge for the unused Event Days at the Standard TVOB Package rate. The commitment discount will be applicable to these services.

The discounts detailed are applicable to all TVOB Packages and Additional Services booked for an Outside Broadcast.

Excess travel and subsistence will be chargeable for each Broadcast Services operator per day for all events outside a radial distance of 75 miles from one of our operating bases in London, Nuneaton, Manchester or Edinburgh.

Leased Vision & Associated Sound Service

The TVOB service is designed for relatively short duration requirements of a few hours each day. Should you require longer durations, but do not want to rent a permanent service, the Leased Vision & associated Sound Service is an economical way of providing transmission paths continuously for several days to several months.
