The BT MediaNet `Plus' Service is a permanent network solution which provides bi-directional transmission of video, audio and data between multiple Customer sites located across the UK.

The network is comprised of a mixture of 45Mbit/s and 155Mbit/s, Local Access Circuits and Inter-BT Core Node capacity. Local Access Circuits will be provided between Customer premises and BT Core Nodes. Inter-BT Core Node capacity will be provided between core nodes on the BT Core Network. To provide resilience to the service there is an option of having diversely routed capacity in addition to any of the main 45Mbit/s and 155Mbit/s capacity.

Virtual Paths

Customer sites are logically connected to each other using Virtual Paths. Each Virtual Path will be routed via two or more Local Access Circuits and may also be routed over one or more Inter-BT Core Node circuits if the sites to be connected are on different BT Core Nodes. Customers can request to reconfigure Virtual Paths in non-real time. Each BT MediaNet `Plus' 45 and BT MediaNet `Plus' 155 circuit can support multiple Virtual Paths.
