The minimum period of service when taking either a new line or a takeover of an existing line, on which the Light User Scheme is provided, is 12 months. If a customer ceases BT service within the 12 month period there is a charge for ending the agreement early by way of compensation to BT. Section 1, Part 2 Sub part 3refers. However, customers may migrate from The Light User Scheme to one of the Calling Plans within the minimum period of service without incurring such a charge.
